SALARY: $3,333 - $5,029/month DOE, Excellent benefits Full Time-18 Month Position

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION - The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) is one of the largest legal services programs in the United States, with approximately 98 employees, including 42 attorneys. The Program has an annual operating budget of more than seven million dollars, and LAFLA provides legal services to approximately 21,000 indigent residents of Los Angeles each year. LAFLA has offices in Santa Monica, Central Los Angeles, East Los Angeles, South Los Angeles and West Los Angeles.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Active membership in the California State Bar
* Full time 18 month position;
* Ability to deal with people tactfully and effectively;
* Bilingual in Spanish/Asian language preferred.
* Interest in helping domestic violence victims with all types of legal matters.

Our firm has openings for litigation associates with 2-4 years of quality experience in the following areas:

insurance bad faith, environmental, governmental, professional E&O, construction defects, business, commercial, real estate. We prefer a reasonably good academic background with excellent writing and analytical skills. Primarily, we defend individuals, public and private companies, insurance companies and governments. We also represent plaintiffs.
